June 12th

We wake up at the Cedar Point campground, to the sound of lawn equipment. Hmm they asked the campers to keep quiet till 8. Seems odd when the fire up the leaf blowers at 6:30. Who can tell if we were making noise?

We all get out of bed. Grandma Jean says sharing the bed with Derek was fine until 2 when he decided to push her off the bed.

We have an early admittance ticket for 6 out of the 7 of us. I consider taking off with whoever is ready and get a few costers in. But the responsible adult in me says that leaving Kyle at the campsite alone would be a bad idea. Becides the girls NEED a shower.

I drop max off at the pet check for the day. We are the first there. He is so occupied with smelling the other dogs that had been there he dosen't notice I left.

We get to the park 2 minutes after 10. Time for coasters. Kyle is just at the line of 52" so we decide to get the official measurement. He is 51 1/2 inches. There are 3 coasters he can't ride.

Here is a tip. Don't go on the biggest coaster first. It is all down hill from there. We did hit the coster with the 300' and 93 MPH first drop, the Mellennium Force. WOW! After that the blue streak seems like a kiddie ride. Kyle was able to ride the Mellennium Force, grandma said after riding one of the biggest coasters in the world what is next to find excitement.

"Kyle Daredevil Schmidt will attempt to jump his rocket cycle across the Atlantic Ocean." The ESPN correspondent continues. "His last attempt was 2 miles short so he increased the ramp to 2.5 miles high."

We eat lunch then go to the AGLRs. After Greasy Lunch Rides. Once we calm our stomachs we get in line for the Chaos. We get out of line when the the #7 car stops upside down. All the ride operators and all the bystanders couldn't get the the car back over again. Actually I think more people were trying to get footage for YouTube then were helping.

We hit lots more coasters. Then it starts to rain. We decide good time for dinner. After dinner we lighten our wallets at the arcade. It took 40 bucks to get 4 all-for-a-dollar store stuffed animals. What a bargain. I figure we wasted enough time for 2 coasters. Not that I am still upset about those no-good-coaster-ride-time-sealing-stuffed-things. I think I'm over it. No I'm not!

We finally get to the Top Thrill Dragester. Wow! 0-120 in less than 4 seconds. Straight up 410 feet then back down, hitting 120 again. I'll say it again louder WOW! Best 20 seconds of my coaster time ever spent.

Once the rides close I get back and pick up Max. Alisa finds Mike on the mic and Trudy swindles him for another stuffed thing for only 12 bucks.

Everyone collapses into bed, and sleeps well.

Tomorrow - It is bad luck to be superstitious.
