The morning of the big clay shoot off. Derek is waiting nursing his trigger finger. I heard Brice was also anxiously awaiting the trip to the soon to be graveyard of pigeon of hardened earth.
There were 200 round of shells, 3 boxes of clay, and two dogs waiting to pick up the pieces. Unfortunately enough shots were fired that the stock cracked on the 20 Gauge. That ended the competition early.
We went to the model aircraft field to launch Derek's model rockets. The whole clan was awaiting the launch code. The wind was calm, the sky was clear, the grass was tall.
The rockets went up. The rockets came down. The rockets played hide and seek. We are not NASA, we did not spend 10 Million on the recovery vehicles. After 30 minutes of searching, we give up hope, and leave the rockets for the lawn mower.
Max sees us packing. Every time we get near the van he jumps in. When we are inside he is between us and the door. We are not leaving without him.
We pack and head to Edinboro PA.
More from the bog tomorrow.
