We packup camp and head to the metro again. I'm told DC is infested with rats. But I think we'll be safe. It is a Sunday, in an election year, they all went home to campaign.
We get to the park and ride and Kyle is running a fever. No not for the flavor of Pringles. ( I read today that the inventor of the Pringles can died this week and was buried in a Pringles can ) It is 101.8 I wonder if that is a good FM station. "You're listening to KYLE, we play the hottest hits."
We were sitting in line at the national archives. The guard says "The line should be on this side." She points to the side I'm on.
"Glad we were on the right side. Well, actually the left side." I mention.
Alisa comments, "Of course the left side, this Washington after all."
We go to the Air and Space museum. I'm not sure why we have an air museum. Will they let us breath the air from years ago? Was this Al Gore's Idea?
"Folks, take a deep breath. This is what air was like before SUVs." The museum tour guide continues, "Be sure to exhale. Is against federal law to bring the air from this room out by way of lungs."
I prepared for the space part by wearing my "You are here" t-shirt with the milky way on it.
Trudy, who is learning German, saw the German WWII plane Messerschmidtt 109 and exclaimed "That's got our name in it!"
We pull in to Frank's Diner for dinner. The sign by the road, says open 24 hours, the door says open 5 till 11. Guess it is not 24 hours in a row.
We arrive in Hershey PA. Sweet Dreams.
