I forgot to mention, while doing laundry yesterday we met a one legged truck driver that now lived at the park full time. He was a colorful character, if Long John Silver was alive today, we just meet him.

We ate breakfast packed up and pulled out. Texas is a big state. Maggie ( our nickname for the GPS we have ) started us off on a small back road. Taking us the exact route that the one legged driver said to go. Either he was right, or he used his pirate charm on Maggie.

What we are still not out of Texas

How long is this state. Every thing is big in Texas. Wow what big gas prices. I would think since they pump the oil and refine the gas in Texas the prices would be the cheepest. Not! 3.95 a gal.

About lunch time ( in Arizona ) we crossed the Lousianna line. When in Lousinanne you have to eat cajan! We found a small place in a strip mall. "The had a billboard so they can't be bad," I said. Well thos time I was right. The food was fantastic. Kyle's favorate was the blackend gator. Derek's comment was "I can't beleve anything that thinks we are tastyn would be so tasty."

After filling my belly with crawfish we headed out. We wanted to make it to the Mississippi river before dark. We did, just after sunset we were still able to see the river.

We decided to push again. Mississippi went fast, so did sweet home Alabama. We pulled in with all the kids asleep, at 2 in the morning, to another Flying J and fell asleep.

More to come.....
